ISHAM
SUMMARY
The driest region of the east hemisphere,
comprised of rocky plateus, rolling sand dunes, gritty spans of bare land,
dry grasslands, and green hills.
Isham is dry and hot year-round, however,
the nights are cold and accompanied with sand storms during the winter.
Since rain is random and scarce,
the inhabitants heavily rely on the three great lakes, the two rivers,
and underground channels for water.
This region is considered to be the "Birth Valley" of mankind,
largely due to the aquisition of the oldest documents of history written by man.
Any older documentations have been recorded by machines in the A.R.C. (Alpha Research Center).
Such documentations are considered to be B.H.H.C. (Before the Heaven and Hell Collision);
any hand held recording devices or manuscripts are considered to be A.H.H.C.
(After the Heaven and Hell Collision)
Researchers are constantly and competitively trying to piece together what led to
the Heaven and Hell Collision and what happened to civilization before, during, and after.
Most speculations lead to the end of the H.H.C. (Heaven and Hell Collision) and
the rebirth of civilization taking place somewhere in Isham.
Because of Isham's mostly barren terrain, ruins, relics, and artifacts are easy to spot
and unearth. "Scavengers", often researchers themselves, come from many lands to salvage,
study, or make use of and market such advanced ancient relics.
This, however, has sparked conflict between older "faith driven" cultures and younger
"market driven" cultures.
